Inspirational people met in the last 10 years:

It's hard to narrow, Sideman says, but those who quickly come to mind:

The late W.E. "Bill" Tritz who authored the book, "Raptors of War." - Tritz was shot down four times and was a three-time captured POW in World War II who not only survived, but also happily lived out his life in Southeastern Wisconsin. "His reluctance to share his story on a larger scale was my disappointment because his book would forever affect the way people view those who serve our country."

Dick Vitale – "The public knows Vitale as the exuberant voice of basketball during the last 20 years. In my work with him via sports television, I see a gentle man who is dedicated to family, friends and those in need. I know of his random acts of kindness to mutual friends, and his tireless efforts have helped elevate the V Foundation for Cancer Research to heights rarely experienced by young non-profits."

People Gail would most like to meet:

Oprah Winfrey - "As a woman who has achieved greatness personally and professionally, Winfrey's an inspiration; her drive to give back to society encourages me that I may, one day, be able to make a positive difference in someone else’s life."

Brett Favre, quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. - Ok, who wouldn’t like to meet the three-time National Football League MVP? Sideman says, however, that she recognized Favre's ability to amaze on and off the football field when he played at the University of Southern Mississippi. One of the first publications to make him a cover darling was her award-winning "Metro News." It's not Sports Illustrated, but…. "As a Packers fan, I was so excited when he was traded to Green Bay; all my friends could say was 'Brett who?' Regardless, how can you not want to befriend someone who so obviously has so much fun everyday?"

Favorite Pastime: "Besides work (really!), I like to absorb quality time with my nephews and nieces, work out in the gym, bike, watch and play sports and share time with friends."

Creative Muse: "Friends in media-related businesses have long inspired my creativity and desire to reach great heights; you know who you are! My eight-year-old twin nephews, and nieces who followed, continue to show me the lighter side of things when I get into a creative quandary and I love them for that!"
